Frequently Asked Questions

Will it be very messy, if I have my artexed ceiling plastered smooth?
No not all, as with all jobs in the building trade, there will be an element of mess, but I provide adequate covers and protection and always hoover before I leave.

If I am interested in having some work done, what will happen after I phone you?
I will arrange a convenient time to come and make a home visit and give you a FREE estimate either on the spot, or within a few days if I need to confirm material costs.  Prices will always include labour and all materials.

I have a heavy artex pattern on my ceiling and walls, can these be plastered smooth?
In the majority of cases this is a simple job, I would skim straight over the pattern.

I want my bedroom ceiling plastered, but I am concerned about my hall/stairs carpets, how will you insure these carpets will not get dirty?
I not only put dust sheets on the bedroom carpet, but I also bring stair runner sheets that will cover your hall, landing and stair carpets.  All carpets are always well protected from spillage.

I want to have my ceiling done, but I do not want to change my wallpaper, is this possible?
If you have coving then this would be no problem at all.  I would put polythene protection on your walls and there would be no need to re-wallpaper.

I have had a waterleak and a section of my lathe and plaster ceiling has fallen through, can you replace my ceiling without removing my moulded coving?
This is not a problem, I can easily remove and replace your ceiling and also save your original coving.
However these ceilings are very dusty to remove, but I always provide a heavy duty dust extractor to minimise dust levels in the rest of your house, and as always hoover before leaving.
